Lite Launcher Ball Boy allows you to use your launcher to fire sports and tennis balls for your dog to retrieve, making it ideal for younger and novice dogs preparing for launcher training as it combines the familiar ball retrieve with the noise of a launcher blank firing, over distances which are not as long as with a launched dummy. The Lite Launcher Ball Boy can also be used to fire balls into thick cover where a dummy may not penetrate, or onto water without the risk of losing a more expensive dummy with a novice dog.
Standing behind the launcher reduces the noise level whilst the noise forward is louder than a typical launcher, whilst using the ball boy without a ball loaded makes a slightly directional noise similar to a shotgun. The firing distance arc of ball poppers is typically 25 meters but they are not designed as a distance tool so are perfect for beginners and Spaniel breeds and great for firing along the ground as a distraction or bolting rabbit
We recommend the use of sports balls in our Ball Boy for better performance,these are readily available from most pet shops ,they bounce better are brighter coloured hold scent well last longer than a typical tennis ball so with this in mind we designed with a slightly narrower bore to help increase velocity with these balls .
The Lite Launcher Ball Boy is the lightest ball-popper on the market, whilst its concave disk helps project the launcher's energy and noise forwards, thus causing only very light recoil. The Lite Launcher Ball Boy will fit onto most free-standing and hand-held launchers easily without the need for adaptation because it is constructed with a double flared full-length oversize spigot tube. The use of 20swg copper ensures that it will not seize onto the spigot if left on the launcher . We have used the Ball Boy on the RRT pro,Turner Richards, Lite Launcher and Bumper Boy products, swapping from one to the other without alteration. The alloy tube reduces the overall weight considerably to the lightest ball popper available, thus making it far easier to use on a hand held launcher. It locks onto the launcher with a single knurled tightener. Rust-resistant materials are used in its construction where possible and it is has a light grey painted finish so there is no major maintenance requirement.
