This handler's cap by Gundog Gear has been designed with the handler in mind. After much field testing and market research, the overwhelming majority of handlers during tests and trials were found to be holding their cap in their hand and using it to give clearer hand signals to their dog. The problem was that the cap was usually green, and the handler was probably wearing green, or something similar, along with every other handler in the line. Dogs only see shades of blue and yellow, with all other colours being seen by the dog as shades of grey. As a result, handlers sometimes felt that their dog was finding it difficult to tell them apart from the rest of the line, especially when working at a distance.

To solve these problems, we have designed our own heavy cotton twill baseball cap. It's completely washable and very hard-wearing, with a fully adjustable buckle at the back, making it the perfect crowning glory for this season's best dressed handlers!

The Gundog Gear Handler's Cap is available in stone - light enough for your dog to be able to see it even at a distance, or navy blue - this is one of the colours dogs can see, which means it may help your dog to focus on you more quickly.
