Relatively new idea in canvas dummy design. The disk is lower profile on the ground so harder for the dog to spot from distance, good in cover and long grass makes the dog work almost right up to it before its discovered so use with scent as a great way to get your dog using its nose. The flat side on profile also makes it easier for a dog to grip whilst also making it think about the way its to handle this retrieve as its hard to pick up face on the dog will have to turn it to get it .
